After many years’ service to the CWU Stewart Macintosh and Alex Skinner were honoured at this year’s AGM with Honorary membership. All who know both agree it is a well-deserved award and goes a little way to thanking them for many years of dedication to the CWU and the Scotland No2 Branch in particular. Stuart recently retired and his Divisional Reps role is now covered by Scotland No2`s Kenny Logan who won a ballot to fill the vacancy left by Stuart`s retirement. It has also been agreed by the Branch that they be honoured at a Function to be held in the Mercure Hotel in Edinburgh on the 17th July 2017 . Guests will include the Branch Committee and Branch Officials as well as Senior Representatives from HQ (yet to be confirmed).

Many members may be unaware that Garry Haldane Dunfermline Unit Rep and Sub FK/KY Area Rep was successfully elected as a Labour Councillor for Dunfermline Central. Many in KY will know Garry was responsible for raising funds to create a memorial garden at the Dunfermline Office in honour of Dunfermline posties who have passed away. Well done Garry
