LTB 252/25 - ROYAL MAIL GROUP UPDATE - MOBILISING MEMBERS

No. 252/25

TO ALL POSTAL BRANCHES / CWU REPS

Dear Colleagues

ROYAL MAIL GROUP UPDATE – MOBILISING MEMBERS

The purpose of this LTB is to follow up on the recent representatives briefing and communication.

During that session we outlined a series of actions that have been agreed by the Postal Executive to defend and support the interests of our members and customers. We also made it clear this would include you engaging members directly in the workplace.

We are pleased to see reports of meetings being held across the UK and local reps briefing members.

Over the coming days and weeks, we will provide more information to ensure all the actions outlined in the representatives’ brief will be progressed. This will include a report on the failed USO pilots and details of our proposal to equalise new entrants’ terms and conditions.

Today, we are launching one of those actions to expose the ongoing issues with Royal Mail. We will be asking members to contact their MPs and call for government intervention to ensure the full application of our agreement with EP Group, an overhaul of postal regulations and a more realistic approach to USO reform.

All members need to do to carry out this request is click the link below and follow a few very simple steps that will enable them to send the letter to their local MP.

It is crucial branches use every means possible to ensure this link reaches every member.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Yours sincerely

Dave Ward

General Secretary
