RE: TITLE
New D2D Contracts
Dear All,
We have been made aware from Royal Mail that the company has secured two new National D2D contracts which we believe are worth advising you of, as these are large contracts which hopefully will lead to the generation of more items and growth in other associated products going forward;
• Uber Eats - 16m items to be delivered over the next 6 weeks. This is new work and a contract which has been won from a competitor. If Royal Mail can provide great customer service, it could lead to another c50m items per annum.
• Pharmacy to U - 20m items over several months this financial year. Again, with great customer service this could also lead to other product opportunity including parcel growth, as Pharmacy 2 u are already an existing parcel customer.
Whilst recognising the current operational challenges due to Covid-19 Pandemic and the fact that D2D is not always viewed upon in a positive way including by local managers, we need to do all that we can to encourage and to stress the importance to our reps and members, that to achieve the best possible service and quality with these new products and items (particularly with the current background of decline overall in letter traffic) that this would be in our interest in terms of future product growth and job security etc.
Thanking you.
